The Scholarship was established 1995 with the monies given
is memory of Charlotte. Since that time $22,800 in scholarships and
special awards have been granted. This has significantly depleted
available funds for future scholarships. To assure the
scholarship's future, the Friends of the Scholarship has been
established to receive donations for the scholarship fund and to
present annual benefit recitals. The recitals will feature
past scholarship and special award winners.
All monies raised by the Friends will be for scholarships and
special awards. Scholarship mailings and the web site maintenance
are handled by First Church's office staff. All other scholarship
administrative acitivities are covered by the Bagnall family. The
scholarship and special award recipients are determined by a
Selection Committee of five prominent Hartford area church
musicians not affliated with First Church. The Selection Committee
members volunteer their time to the program.

young church musicians, we invite you to become a Friend of
