The Scholarship

Every year the Charlotte H. Bagnall Scholarship grants awards from three hundred dollars ($300) to fifteen hundred dollars ($1500) for study in religious music and liturgy. The awards are for study in religious music and liturgy and are intended to help musicians improve their ability to support religious worship services. The awards are typically used for
  • Organ lessons
  • High School, college or graduate level studies related to organ or religious music
  • Participating in organ festivals, seminars, music camps, etc.
The scholarship eligibility differs between odd and even years. On even numbered years the scholarship is limited to high school age musicians and on odd numbered years the scholarship is open to musicians of all ages provided they have completed their junior year in high school. The scholarship was established in 1995 by the First Church of Christ, Simsbury, Connecticut in the memory of Charlotte H. Bagnall.
